ELKHART —
On the men’s side, a
pair of brothers from
Lansing, Mich. ,and
members of a local
running club called
Front Line Racing
cruised to an easy
victory with their only
real competition coming
against each other.
Nathan and Aaron
Usher were running
stride-for-stride down
the stretch when Nathan,
22, edged out his older
brother by a mere
three-tenths of a
second.
Nathan went 1:09.43.2
and Aaron went
1:09.43.5.
This wasn’t a case of
sibling rivalry, though.
“He let me win,” said
Nathan, who ran at
Bowling Green University
and then at Michigan
State University his
final year.
“It’s my fastest half
marathon and the most
money I’ve won ever,”
said Nathan, who ran at
Michigan State and by
winning earned $400.
Klye Orender of
Plainfield took third in
a time of 1:10.06.6.
